Dr Gina Tsanaktsidis is a sub-specialist in diseases of the vitreous and retina. She graduated from Flinders University of South Australia in 1992 and initiated her general ophthalmology training at the Sydney Eye Hospital, gaining her fellowship with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology in 2000. She subsequently specialized in vitreo-retinal surgery, including a 2 year fellowship at Westmead Hospital and an 18 month vitreo-retinal fellowship at the Western Eye Hospital in London.

Dr Gina Tsanaktsidis publishes articles in peer reviewed journals and continuously updates her skills at international retinal conferences. Her particular interests in ophthalmology are diseases of the vitreous and retina.

Dr Tsanaktsidis specializes in vitrectomy surgery for retinal detachment, macular hole, epiretinal membrane and proliferative diabetic retinopathy and intravitreal injections for age related maculopathy and diabetic maculopathy.
